A stable class that works doesn't need much else. To the extend that PHP5 is now really coming so some classes will need some work or a complete overhaul to leverage PHP5 features. It seems that many projects, frameworks (even PEAR), classes are driven by 'let's see what futures we might add' instead of 'let's see what futures we actually need'. If your class is stable, does what it is supposed to do, and everybody using it is happy, then move on to something new, something fresh. Don't add stuff 'just because you can'.
